Operating at 265,000BTU/hr, the WOC70 can heat residences varying from 3,000 – 7,000sqft. They are ideal for residence owners searching for a strong, long-lasting able to use a mixture of fuels.
The WOC70 is a no-frills, conventional, hand-fired, updraft boiler. It is constructed out of ¼ inch steel metal…
…which allows it to give reliable heat to your family. We have been producing these for more than 30 years you can rest assured in knowing that you will be able to keep your family warm and save a fortune for many years.
Our signature caste iron grate and our Dual Draft systems make it possible to burn numerous kinds of solid fuels (anthracite and bituminous coal). You can select either to bring combustion air on the top of the fire with a damper or up through the fire using a forced draft fan. Both of these are automatically controlled by an aquastat, keeping the boiler at a constant temperature. It can also be fitted with controls to operate without electricity.
The WOC models have a separate chamber on the boiler that allows a burner to be fitted on it. We use a separate burn chamber so that you can create an excellent flame pattern, which allows the burner to operate effectively, and the separate burn chamber safeguards the burner’s nozzle when burning numerous other fuels. The burner fires into the separate burn chamber which leads into the primary firebox and so regardless you are burning oil or hard coal or soft coal you only require one unit. The burner is powered by the boiler’s aquastat, as well.
An Automatic Switchover feature, from coal to oil if the water temperature falls because of lack of fire, is available with a fuel oil burner. The Automatic Switchover choice provides you the workability and freedom in being aware that your home will not go cold if you, for example, decide to take a break for the weekend.
The WOC70 comes standard with:
- Separate firing chamber for backup burner
- Legacy Grate System
- Huge 14” Stacking Door
- Self-Activating Dual Draft System – Forced Draft Blower and Natural Draft Damper
- Firebrick Lined Firebox
- Water Cooled Baffle (for increased efficiency)
- Hydro Approved to 60PSI
- Made out of ¼” Steel Plate
- Honeywell Aquastats
- Temperature/Pressure Gauge
- ASME Approved Pressure Relief Valve
- Load Door Smoke Flap
Our Multi-Fuel boilers’ cost of ownership is one of the cheapest out there! $40.00 – $50.00 every year on average!!
Conventionally, Multi-Fuel boilers have been marketed as wood/coal combinations, however, because of EPA Phase 2 rules, these units are no longer marketed for constant use with wood.

Oil/Propane/Natural Gas Backup
The can be fixed with a backup fuel option. This needs a dedicated firing tube that must be constructed during production. You can choose from fuel oil, natural gas, propane, or waste-oil burner for your WOC70. Only fuel oil is available in the automatic switchover option.
Domestic Coil
This Domestic Coil is capable of a 100° F rise at 5 gallons per minute, 50° water inlet temperature, and 65 PSI water pressure. It is threaded into a 4 IN NPT threaded fixture given on the heater for this reason.
Insulation Jacket
Our base unit Multi-Fuel boilers have no casing on the outside of the boiler, allowing optimum heat radiation in the boiler room. If you opt to have a better control of the heat, insulation can be provided as an add-on for the boiler. This jacket is similar to that used on the Wood Gun or Coal Gun boilers
ASME Certification
The ASME Certification guarantees the steel quality and weld standard of the boiler water jacket. Each ASME Certified water jacket has been pressure compressed to 60 PSI and comes with a 30 PSI release valve.
Low Water Cutoff
A Low Water Cutoff senses the water level in the boiler’s vessel and will shut the unit down if the water level falls to a dangerous level.

Propane/Natural Gas Backup
Fuel oil backup is standard for WOC models but propane or natural gas back up options are available for an additional cost.
Automatic/Manual Switching
For #2 fuel oil, the backup system can function in an automatic switch-over scenario, with fuel oil taking over when the boiler has exhausted its coal fuel. For other fuels, such as natural gas or propane, switch-over is manual only.
Domestic Coil
This Domestic Coil features a 100° F rise at 5 gallons per minute, 50° water inlet temperature and 65 PSI water pressure. It is threaded into a 4 IN NPT threaded fitting provided on the boiler for this purpose.
Insulation Jacket
Our base unit Multi-Fuel boilers have no insulation on the outside of the boiler, allowing maximum heat radiation in the boiler room. If you prefer to circulate more of this heat, an insulation jacket can be added to the boiler. This insulation jacket is comparable to that used on the Wood Gun or Coal Gun boilers
ASME Certification
The ASME Certification guarantees the steel grade and weld quality of the boiler water jacket. Each ASME Certified water jacket has been pressure tested to 60 PSI, and includes a 30 PSI release valve.
Low Water Cutoff
A Low Water Cutoff senses the water level in the boiler’s vessel and will shut the unit down if the water level drops to an unsafe level. Available with automatic reset or manual reset.
